Today Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel reached Swami Atmanand Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Excellent English and Hindi Medium School located in Bilaspur under the meet-meet program. Where he inaugurated the upgradation work of the school building built at a cost of Rs 3 crore. Under which state-of-the-art lab, state-of-the-art class room, grand entrance, stage, sports ground and new toilet have been constructed. English medium education has started in the school from the last session itself. In which English medium students achieved 100% result. The total number of students in the school is 930.
State-of-the-art smart class facility has been provided in the school for the students. Interactive boards have been installed for smart classes so that children can get better education by adopting modern technology. As an experiment, 3 in study boards have also been installed in some classes. In which, apart from the interactive board, the facility of marker board and chalk board is also available. In the era of information revolution, 19 computers have been kept in the computer lab so that children can walk step by step with technology. In which they are given practical classes. Torso human body and species like star fish and sea horse have also been kept in the biology lab for the children to understand the morphology better. Along with this, many working models have been kept in the Physics Lab so that the children can adopt a practical approach.
Books related to story and literature along with books for competitive exams like NEET, IIT G, Vyapam, UPSC, CGPSC, SSC have been kept in the school library so that children have all round development in every field. About 300 books are available in the library as new books and about 1500 books on the basis of old book collection. Classes like Yoga and Aerobics are also being taken in the sports class in the school. There are also a number of sporting goods available for children for indoor and outdoor sports, including chess, carrom, hoops, badminton, etc.
