Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has extended greetings and best wishes to the people of the state, especially all the mothers, on the occasion of Halshashti (Kamarchat). He has said that Halashashti is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Balramji, the elder brother of Lord Shri Krishna. In Chhattisgarh this festival is celebrated by the name of Kamarchhath. On this day, Sagri is made in the form of a pond in homes and temples. Women gather and offer Pashar rice, Kashi flowers, Mahua leaves, Lai and offer prayers to Lord Shiva and Sagri. On this day women keep a fast and pray for the health, long life and prosperity of their children. The Chief Minister has wished that the wishes of all the mothers are fulfilled and all the children remain healthy and happy.
