Announcement to celebrate Mata Kaushalya Festival in Chandkhuri

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel today attended the 77th Raj Adhiveshan of Arjuni Raj Kurmi Kshatriya Samaj organized at the Higher Secondary School premises in village Arjuni under Balodabazar development block. He inaugurated the conference by paying homage to the forefathers of the society. While addressing the conference, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel announced to give Rs. 50 lakh for the building of Kurmi Samaj, Rs. 10 lakh for the beautification of cremation ground, including opening of branch of Swami Atmanand English Medium School and District Cooperative Bank in village Arjuni. The Chief Minister made important announcements to name the Jagda High School after late Shri Chow Ram Baghel, give Rs 20 lakh for the community building of Sarvasamaj in village Nawapara and celebrate Mata Kaushalya Mahotsav in Chandkhuri.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that our government is trying to preserve the culture of Chhattisgarh. 9 places of the state are being developed as tourist centers under the Ramvangan Circuit. Under which other works are being done on a large scale, including installation of 51 feet tall Shri Ram statue in Chandkhuri, Shivrinarayan, Rajim. Under the Maghi Purni Mela, 55 acres of land is being reserved in Rajim and the fair site is being developed. Efforts are being made to preserve the culture by constructing more than 2000 Devguri shrines related to tribal culture. Our government has organized Ramayana competition in every village and is encouraging them by giving them cash prizes. This has given a new identity to the Ramayana Mandali of the village.
The Chief Minister said that Kurmi society is a progressive society. Meaningful steps are being taken to remove various anomalies prevailing in the society, it is commendable. He said that various schemes are being implemented to strengthen the economic condition of the food providers of the state. He said that keeping in mind that our rural farmer brothers can celebrate Deepawali well, we have paid the third installment of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana on October 17, 2022, before Deepawali festival itself.
The conference was presided over by Chowaram Verma, the central president of Kurmi Samaj. Former Rajya Sabha MP Mrs. Chhaya Verma, Kasdol MLA and Parliamentary Secretary Ms. Shakuntala Sahu, Women’s Commission President Dr. Kiranmayi Nayak, District Panchayat President Mr. Rakesh Verma, Chairman Animal Welfare Board Mr. Vidyabhushan Shukla, Chairman Farmers Welfare Board Mr. Surendra Sharma Chairman Text Book Corporation Mr. Shailesh Nitin Trivedi, former MLA Mr. Janakram Verma and other public representatives and officials of the society were specially present.
Addressing the gathering, Central President of Kurmi Kshatriya Samaj, Chow Ram Verma also expressed gratitude on behalf of the entire Kurmi community and backward classes for giving 27 percent reservation to backward classes. On this occasion Raj Pradhan Mr. Bhuneshwar Verma, Mr. Vipin Bihari Verma, General Secretary Mr. Raghunandan Lal Verma, Mr. KK Nayak, Mr. Khodas Kashyap, Media Incharge Mr. Chandrashekhar Verma, Youth President Mr. Bhanu Verma, Collector Mr. Rajat Bansal, SP Mr. Deepak Jha Including a large number of Rajpradhan and office bearers and social workers of rural and Kurmi society were present.
