Harsh Rajak, a 16-year-old class X student, never imagined that one day he would receive a compliment from Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel at the Chief Minister’s residence for his passion for rainbow colors and his talent for painting.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel met the young talented painter Harsh Rajak at his residence office here this evening. Chief Minister, Mr. Baghel, in Government Higher Secondary School, Chantidih, Bilaspur, should be aware of the news about the talent of drawing the exact picture with expressions by Harsh Rajak, a student of class X and who specializes in painting. Called and encouraged Harsh by appreciating his talent.
When the Chief Minister asked Harsh about his further studies, he told that he wanted to become a software engineer. Wants to study in class XI with science subject, for this there is a need of lab in the school. The Chief Minister announced to start laboratory and library in Government Higher Secondary School, Chantidih. Harsh presented Chief Minister Mr. Baghel the pictures of him and a tribal girl made with his own hands.
Harsh told the Chief Minister that from class VI-VII he had an inclination towards painting, for this he was encouraged by his father, teachers and principal, initially he practiced painting with watercolor after doing normal sketching. At the time of lockdown, he started drawing drawings with color pencils. Today, through free hand sketching, he makes an exact picture of anyone with full expression.
Harsh told that this year in the district level Rajyotsav program, he made a sketch of Collector Dr. Saransh Mitter and Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel. Where his talent was highly appreciated. As an incentive, the collector bought a painting worth Rs 5 thousand, the chief guest of the district level Rajyotsava and Parliamentary Secretary Shri Inder Shah Mandavi, impressed by the painting, gave him a prize of Rs 11 hundred. Harsh has also made portraits of many Bollywood actors and the Prime Minister, which has been highly appreciated by the people.
Harsh told that his father Mr. Santosh Rajak works in the hotel and mother Mrs. Ishwari Rajak does sewing embroidery work. Assistant Director Education Shri Sandeep Chopra informed that Harsh Rajak will represent the state level on behalf of the School Education Department in the art festival to be organized in Raipur on November 14-15. Harsh’s father Mr. Santosh Rajak, District Education Officer Mr. SK Prasad, Principal Mrs. Alka Agarwal and Mrs. Archana Joshi were present on the occasion among others.
