Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has congratulated and greeted the people of Chhattisgarh’s famous folk festival Chherchera. On this occasion, he has wished for the happiness, prosperity and prosperity of the people of the state. In his greeting message issued on the eve of Chherchera festival, Mr. Baghel has said that Chherchera Punni Tihar, which is celebrated as Mahadan and harvest festival, is the conductor of our social harmony, charity and rich glorious tradition. On this day, the children, youth and women of the village go to the barns and houses to collect paddy and the money received as a gift, saying ‘Chherchera, kothi ke dhan l’herhera’ and make programs for the whole year with the collected paddy and amount. It is celebrated on the full moon of the month of Paush in the joy of coming home to the new crop. Maa Shakambhari Jayanti is also celebrated on this day. According to mythological belief, on this day Lord Shankar begged for alms from Mother Annapurna.
The Chief Minister said that many dimensions of generosity are visible in the farmers of Chhattisgarh. It has been a tradition to give the crop produced here to the needy people of the society, workers and animals and birds. The Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh government has also declared Chherchera Tihar as a public holiday so that the priceless heritage and mythological traditions of the state can be promoted and promoted. He has said that Chherchera Tihar teaches to live together by eliminating the feeling of discrimination and arrogance. It is the responsibility of all of us to take this rich tradition and civilization of Chhattisgarh to future generations.
