Raipur, 6 August 2021. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has appealed to the traders and entrepreneurs of the state to come forward for the value addition and trade of agricultural produce and minor forest produce of Chhattisgarh. The Chief Minister has said that many facilities have been given by the Chhattisgarh government in the new industrial policy of the state. He said that food processing units, processing units of minor forest produce and other items are being promoted in rural areas of the state. He also asked the traders and entrepreneurs to develop a chain system for marketing the products of rural areas of the state. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel was addressing the delegation of Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industries at his residence office here this evening.
The Chief Minister said that the Chhattisgarh Government is setting up industrial parks in the Gauthans of the villages. Here income-oriented activities related to locally available agriculture and forest produce are being conducted by the villagers and women self-help groups. He said that on the basis of their demand and quality, traders and entrepreneurs can get the valuation and production of products related to agriculture and minor forest produce done in the villages. For this, there is a need to skill the villagers and women self-help groups by giving them training. The Chief Minister said that with this, the products of the villagers and women self-help groups would get the market easily. Employment opportunities will be accessible in rural areas. Traders and entrepreneurs will get high quality products at reasonable prices, which will benefit business.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel said on the occasion that Amchur, which sells for an average of Rs 80 to 120 per kg. In Dantewada, only because of using stainless blade in amchur cutting, this amchur has started selling for Rs 600 a kg. Tikhur drink from Kondagaon is going to Vietnam. He said that we want the traders and entrepreneurs of our state to trade the products of Chhattisgarh in the country and the world. The Chief Minister talked about extending all possible help from the government to the traders and entrepreneurs for this. The Chief Minister said that Mission Millet has been started in the state. He said that there is a need to connect villages with cities in terms of business and business. On this occasion, the Chief Minister asked for allotment of land at concessional rate in Raipur for the construction of State Office building of Chamber of Commerce, keeping Urla industrial area separate from the limits of Birgaon Municipal Corporation,
On this occasion, the President of Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Mr. Amar Parwani, on behalf of 8 lakh traders of the state, felicitated the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel and said that the Chamber of Commerce should participate in the all-round development of the state as per the vision of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel. This will be our endeavor. He said that under your leadership, industry and trade have been encouraged and a better environment has been created.
