Raipur, 01 February 2022. Responding to the Union Budget for the financial year 2022-23 presented in the Parliament today, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel said that the budget of the Central Government is completely disappointing and directionless. There is nothing in the budget for farmers, laborers, youth, unemployed and women. Mr. Baghel said that people had high hopes about the budget that farmers and laborers would get something, but there is nothing in it. Nothing has been said about doubling the income of farmers. There is no provision regarding the subjects which were included in the old budget. There was talk of making 100 smart cities, that too is not being fulfilled. This budget is completely directionless budget. In which there is nothing for the youth, neither for the unemployed, nor for the women nor for the farmers.
He said that in the budget of India’s largest rural economy, agriculture and farmers, unemployed and poor, women and youth and middle class and common people, there is no concrete provision regarding any kind of relief or to increase their livelihood and income. There does not appear to be a plan of action or will. The Union government’s promise of doubling farmers’ income by 2022 from the budget has proved hollow
