Chairman of Scheduled Castes Commission took a meeting of officers in Korba

Chairman of the Chhattisgarh State Scheduled Caste Commission Shri K. P. Khande today took a meeting of departmental officers in the Korba collectorate hall. He reviewed the progress of the schemes run by the government for the welfare of Scheduled Castes and said that it should be ensured that the eligible people get the benefits of the schemes.
On this occasion, Chairman Mr. Khande gave detailed information about the functioning of the Commission and the provision made for the protection of the interests of the Scheduled Castes. He said that the commission is committed to protect the interests of this section. While reviewing the schemes run under the Assistant Commissioner Tribal Development Department, the Chairman of the Commission directed that children in hostels and ashrams should get the benefits of the schemes as per the prescribed rules. Public awareness regarding the prevention of untouchability and the beneficiaries of the inter-caste marriage promotion scheme should be given the incentive amount fixed by the government as soon as possible. On this occasion, he instructed to take necessary action as per the rules on the case registered under Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes Prevention of Atrocities Act.
In the meeting, Mr. Shrikant Kaser, Assistant Commissioner, Tribal Development Department, said that the benefit of the schemes of the government should be given to the scheduled caste people on priority. In the meeting, Mr. Chetan Chandel, social spokesperson, representative Mr. Maniram Jangde, Mr. U. R. Ladies etc. were present.
