Mother Kaushalya’s maternal uncle and Lord Rama’s maternal grandmother Chandkhuri Dham were illuminated with 31 thousand diyas on the eve of Deepawali and Roop Chaudas today. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Mata Kaushalya Mata Temple has been developed as a tourist destination from the identified sites of Ram Van Gaman Circuit. Today, members of Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club from many districts including Raipur had reached here for lamp donation. Before donating the lamp, the members of Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club first conducted a cleanliness campaign in the temple premises at Mata Kaushalya Dham Chandkhuri. Then decorated the premises with Rangoli and flowers. On the other hand, Mata Kaushalya temple courtyard was illuminated with 31 thousand diyas in the evening. ‘Jai Siya Ram’ was carved from the decoration of diyas. After donating the lamp, the sky of Chandkhuri was illuminated by fireworks with colorful firecrackers. During this, MLA Shri Devendra Yadav was specially present.
It is worth mentioning that Chandkhuri, adjoining Chhattisgarh’s capital Raipur, is considered to be the birthplace of Mata Kaushalya. In this sense, Chandkhuri is famous as the maternal grandmother of Lord Rama. Lord Rama has also spent a lot of his childhood in his maternal grandmother. At the same time, out of 14 years of exile, they have lived at different places in Chhattisgarh for a period of about 10 years. In such a situation, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has started the work of making the memories of Lord Ram everlasting and understanding the religious importance of those places and developing them as religious places as well as tourist places. For this, a total of 75 sites of Ram Van Path Gaman Marg have been selected. Out of which 9 sites are being developed as grand tourist destinations in the first phase. It has been started from Mata Kaushalya Dham. On the initiative of Chief Minister Mr. Baghel, the only temple of Mata Kaushalya in the world has been renovated and beautified. As a second site, Shivrinarayan, the city of Mata Shabri, has also been developed.
Today, on the eve of Diwali, about 200 members of Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club under the leadership of MLA Shri Devendra Yadav celebrated Deepotsav by lighting 31 thousand lamps after cleaning the temple premises located at Mata Kaushalya Dham Chandkhuri.
