Governor Ms. Anusuiya Uikey and Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel honored the excellent teachers of the state on the occasion of Teachers’ Day today and extended their greetings and best wishes on Teachers’ Day. The award ceremony was inaugurated by garlanding the photographs of Maa Saraswati and Dr. Sarvepalli Radha Krishnan. During this, 04 teachers were honored with Memorial Award and 56 teachers with State Teacher Award in the name of great litterateurs of the state.

Addressing the award ceremony, Governor Ms. Uikey greeted the teachers and students of the state, including the respected teachers, on Teachers’ Day. He appreciated the remarkable efforts being made by the State Government in the field of school education. The Governor said that with the opening of English medium schools in the state, the dream of students from cities to remote areas to study in English is being fulfilled. Starting closed schools in Naxalite areas and starting kindergarten will play an important role in changing the direction and condition of education. The Governor said that during the period of Kovid, an important initiative has been taken from human point of view by giving early compassionate appointment to the relatives of the deceased teachers. He also appreciated the allocation of an amount of 500 crores for the renovation and renovation of the schools.
