Chief Minister performs Bhoomipujan for integrated tea planting near Sarna Ethnic Resort in Jashpur: Rope Tea Plants

Raipur, 05 December 2020. The Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupesh Baghel today performed a ground-breaking ceremony of integrated tea planting next to the Sarna Ethnic Resort at Balachaphar, Gram Panchayat in Jashpur district and planted tea plants with the Minister, MLA and officials. He first planted trees in the Sarna Ethnic Resort complex. Around 7 acres of tea is being planted next to the Athenic Resort through the Forest Department, DMF and MNREGA, in which 6 thousand 300 saplings will be planted. The tea plant is ready in about 2 to 2 and a half years and the leaf is plucked regularly from the 5th year.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that Jashpur is also known for tea garden. Tea farming is indeed a beneficial farming, many farmers will benefit greatly by promoting it. He directed the forest department officials to form a group of farmers for tea cultivation and encourage them. Take better measures for marketing. The Chief Minister also planted a tree in the Ethnic Resort Complex before this.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister met the tea cultivating farmers Mr. Mahendra Bhagat, Mr. Karamu Ram and Mrs. Itwari Bhagat and congratulated them for adopting tea cultivation and also to bring the farmers of the neighborhood to take up tea cultivation. Said The Chief Minister inquired about the amount of remuneration and regular payment to the laborers engaged in tea plantation work. On this occasion, Food Minister and in-charge of the district Mr. Amarjeet Bhagat, Parliamentary Secretary and Samaritan MLA Mr. Chintamani Maharaj, Jashpur MLA Mr. Vinay Bhagat, Commissioner Ms. G. Kindo, Inspector General of Police Shri Ratan Lal Dangi, Collector Shri Mahadev Kavre, Superintendent of Police Shri Balaji Rao and local public representatives and officers were present.
