Swami Vivekananda is a role model for the youth. He said that the national memorial to be built in the memory of Swami Vivekananda ji in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh, would not be less than all his monuments established so far, it would be our endeavor to make this monument the best.                                                              Chief Minister] Baghel was addressing the ‘Vivekananda National Youth Conference’ organized at Vivekananda Vidyapeeth, Kota, Raipur today. It was informed in the program that there are three memorials of Swami Vivekananda in America and 12 in India. The memorial to be built in Raipur will be the 16th memorial of Swami Vivekananda. The Chief Minister urged the office bearers of Ramakrishna Mission and Vivekananda Vidyapeeth present in the conference, the guests of the conference to give suggestions regarding the nature of the memorial to be established in Raipur.
Earlier, the Chief Minister bowed before the portrait of Swami Vivekananda by lighting the lamp and inaugurated this national convention organized under the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence. The program was presided over by Shrimat Swami Nikhileshwaranand ji, President of Shri Ramakrishna Ashram, Rajkot. Parliamentary Secretary Shri Vikas Upadhyay was present in the program as a special guest. The conference was organized by Vivekananda Vidyapeeth, Raipur in collaboration with the Department of Culture. The students of Vivekananda Vidyapeeth gave a musical presentation of the state anthem and patriotic song.
Addressing the conference, Chief Minister ] Bhupesh Baghel said that today there is a need to spread and assimilate the ideas of Swami Vivekananda ji in the society. Vivekananda has a deep attachment to Chhattisgarh. After Calcutta, Swami Vivekananda spent the most time in Raipur. Raipur airport was named after Swami Vivekananda. In this regard, the Chief Minister recalled that while in opposition, he had brought a non-official resolution in the Vidhan Sabha to name the Raipur airport after Vivekananda. The personality of Swami Vivekananda ji is so vast that in his name the members of the parties and the opposition agreed and the resolution was passed in the assembly.Chief Minister Mr. Baghel
Chief Minister]] Baghel said in relation to Swami Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Swami Vivekananda Bhavadhara in the conference that if any saint has said about connecting everyone, then it was said by Ramakrishna Paramhans and if anyone did the work of realizing that thing, then Vivekananda ji did. Swami Ramakrishna Paramahansa had said that whatever method you pray or worship, you will reach only one God. Whichever way you go, you will reach the same place. He talked about equality, talked about connecting, this is the strength of India. Many religions have emerged from the soil of India. We should respect all religions. Referring to the works of Ram Krishna Mission and Vivekananda Vidyapeeth in Chhattisgarh, he said that the work of connecting children with the light of education, human welfare is being done in these institutions.
The Chief Minister said in the conference that Swami Vivekananda had said that we have to accept the science of the West and the spirituality of India will have to be accepted by the West, only then humanity will progress. Nowadays politicians are talking about religion and religious gurus are sitting silent. We are Hindu, we are proud of it but it is not proper to insult any other religion. Religion can never talk about hatred. There are two works of a sage saint, welfare of the world and self-promotion, if you have hatred in your mind then you are not a sage.
Swami Nikhileshwaranand ji, reiterating the statement of Swami Vivekananda from the Presidential seat, told the youth to love India and get up, wake up and do not stop till the goal is achieved. He said that Swami Vivekananda was a visionary of the era. He talked about giving all possible support for the memorial to be established in Chhattisgarh. Dr. Omprakash Verma, Secretary, Vivekananda Vidyapeeth delivered the welcome address. On this occasion, office bearers of Swami Vivekananda Vidyapeeth and guests and youth attending the conference were present in large numbers.
