Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today attended the special program “Vimarsh” organized by the national thought magazine “Swadesh” at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in the capital Raipur as the chief guest.
In this Vimarsh lecture organized on the topic “Now is the time to decorate the Ayodhya of the mind”, Shri Ramdatt Chakradhar, Joint General Secretary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh was present as the keynote speaker.

In his lecture, Saha Sarkaryavah Shri Chakradhar said that to assimilate the ideals and qualities of Maryada Purushottam Lord Shri Ram in the mind is to decorate the “Ayodhya of the mind”. He said that not only the mind, but also our family, society, village and nation should be filled with Ram. Mentioning the ideals of Shri Ram, he said that his life was full of qualities like keeping promises, patience, compassion, consultation, merit, justice, renunciation of ego, friendship and respect and equanimity towards others. By adopting these qualities, we can make our lives meaningful.

Shri Chakradhar further explained the ideal qualities of Shri Ram through small examples of incidents related to his life. He told that Shri Ram was firm on his word – the very next day after the announcement of coronation, he gladly accepted exile in honor of the promise given by his father Dasharath. Similarly, he maintained patience in every situation of happiness and sorrow, never allowed ego to come to him and presented the ideal of respect by keeping an equal attitude towards everyone. He said that by imbibing these qualities, we can strengthen our mind, family, society and nation and can realize the vision of a developed India of 2047.

On this occasion, a book titled “Ram Kaju Keenhe Binu” focused on the Ayodhya movement and a book based on Chhattisgarh’s folk art and culture were released from the stage.

The program was presided over by Central Zone Sanghchalak Dr. Purnendu Saxena. On this occasion, Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, Swadesh Patrika Group Editor Mr. Atul Tare and Managing Editor Mr. Yashwardhan Jain were present on the stage.

In his address, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said that Swadesh newspaper group has worked to strengthen the feeling of Indianness in the society in its continuous journey of seven decades. He said that Swadesh newspaper may be in a new look today, but its history is very rich. Immediately after the independence of the country, in 1948, the publication of this newspaper started with the vision of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, the pioneer of Antyodaya and Integral Humanism. Our country’s former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee was also its editor.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that when Emergency was imposed in the country in 1975, most of the people of Swadesh newspaper group were put in jail. Despite this, this newspaper kept spreading the spirit of Indianness among the people and remained steadfast. During the Emergency, democracy was murdered and lakhs of people were put in jail. Many families were ruined. Former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh’s government had started giving Samman Nidhi to such MISA prisoners, which was stopped for the last 5 years, which has been restarted by our government. Also, by bringing a bill in the Assembly, it has been ensured that MISA prisoners continue to receive this honorarium.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that today’s lecture topic – “Now is the time to decorate the Ayodhya of the mind” – is very relevant. Chhattisgarh is the land of Mother Kaushalya and Lord Shri Ram is called Bhanja here. He said that Ramrajya means service to the people. Our government is doing public service by taking all sections along. Our policy towards corruption is of zero tolerance. We are moving forward in the direction of realizing the dream of Ramrajya in accordance with the ideals of Shri Ram.

The program was also addressed by Vidhan Sabha Speaker Dr. Raman Singh and Central Zone Sanghchalak Dr. Purnendu Saxena. The program was prefaced by Group Editor Mr. Atul Tare. Vote of thanks was given by Mr. Yogesh Mishra (local editor) and conducted by Mr. Shashank Sharma.
