Free treatment facility up to Rs 5 lakh for economically weaker citizens.

Ayushman card is providing great help to serious patients in getting treatment. 71 year old Shri Gayaram Sahu of Bemetara district has undergone successful knee operation. He told that he was suffering from knee pain for a long time. Got relief from pain after operation. He told that first he got treatment from many doctors and also took Ayurvedic medicine. But the pain was not subsiding. In a private hospital, the expenditure was reported to be Rs 2 to 4 lakh. Due to poor financial condition, they were not in a position to bear the said amount.
Shri Gaya Ram Sahu said that the doctors at District Hospital Bemetara informed about the disease and after medical examination, the team of doctors performed knee replacement on 22 February 2024. After the operation, he was made to walk with the help of a walker. Mr Siyaram is fine. It has been advised to exercise daily and take regular medicines. He thanked Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai.
Under Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, the successful free operation was done by ortho surgeon Dr. Shilp Verma. Under Ayushman Card, economically weaker citizens are provided free treatment facility up to Rs 5 lakh.
