Food Minister Shri Dayal Das Baghel today attended the initiation program of Government Kodu Ram Dalit Mahavidyalaya of Navagarh development block of Bemetara district. The newly admitted students of the college were given information regarding the provisions of National Education Policy 2020. During this, the Food Minister also planted saplings in the campus.
Minister Mr. Baghel gave information about the main objective, provisions, features and various types of faculties of the National Education Policy 2020. The group of subjects to be selected by the students under the education policy was explained as a group of generic-elective and a group of value addition courses. Students have to emphasize more on a holistic and multidisciplinary approach to education, so that students can become proficient in sports, arts and vocational skills along with subjects.
Under the education policy, students have been explained about the provisions related to credit based courses, continuous internal assessment and end semester examination. The doubts of the students or parents were also resolved. On this occasion, Chairman of Nagar Panchayat Navagarh Mrs. Manjulata Ratre, Municipal Councilor Mr. Zahid Baig, Principal of Government K.R.D. Mahavidyalaya Mrs. M. Banjara and members of the college family were present in large numbers.
