Raipur, 12 November 2021. According to the instructions of Agriculture and Water Resources Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey, the certified seeds of various Rabi crops are being stored rapidly by the Chhattisgarh State Seeds and Agriculture Development Corporation. So far 69 thousand 836 quintal seeds have been stored through cooperative societies, agriculture department, private seed sellers and production program. Sowing of Rabi crops has started in the state. So far 4779 quintals of seeds have been distributed to the farmers.
According to the information received from Chhattisgarh State Seeds and Agriculture Development Corporation, the total demand of seeds for Rabi season 2021-22 is 2 lakh 92 thousand 970 quintals. Against which the availability of one lakh 82 thousand 652 quintal seeds has been ensured through Seed Corporation and other institutions so far. So far 43,802 quintals of wheat seeds, 6.40 quintals of ragi, 23,843 quintals of gram, 498 quintals of peas, 286 quintals of masoor, 100 quintals of moong, 73 quintals of urad, 803 quintals of Tivda, 317 quintals of mustard, 45 quintals of groundnut, 27 quintals of safflower and 36 Storage of quintal linseed seed In this way a total of 69,836 quintal seeds have been stored. Farmers have so far lifted 3033.60 quintals of wheat seeds, 1640 quintals of pulses seeds and 105 quintals of oilseed crops.
