Three-day state level youth festival is being organized from 28 to 30 January at Science College Ground of capital Raipur
Raipur, January 28, 2023 , Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel will inaugurate the State Level Youth Festival 2022-23 on January 28 at 11 am at the Science College Ground,Raipur. It is noteworthy that the youth festival is being organized by the Sports and Youth Welfare Department. Speaker of Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Dr. Charandas Mahant will attend the inauguration program as a special guest and the program will be presided over by Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Mr. Umesh Patel.
Chhattisgarh’s regional sports like Fugdi, Bhaura and Gedi race competitions will also be held in the youth festival. Along with this, attractive presentation of Chhattisgarhi folk songs and folk dances like Karma, Raut Nacha, Panthi, Sarhul, Suva, Bastaria dance will also be seen in the state level youth festival. Paintings related to Chhattisgarhi culture, food festival of Chhattisgarhi cuisines and traditional costumes of Chhattisgarh will also be included. 3 thousand participants from across the state will take part in the festival.

On the first day of the festival, on January 28 at Science college campus, competitions of folk songs, extempore speech, classical Hindustani and Carnatic music, and tabla and guitar playing will be held at the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in capital Raipur. Along with this, there will also be competitions for essay writing and painting. kho-kho, kabaddi and wrestling competitions will also be organised for women and men.
