Culture Minister reviews departmental work

Culture Minister Shri Amarjeet Bhagat said that all necessary preparations should be completed for organizing the state level competition of Manas Mandalis in Raipur. Mr. Bhagat was reviewing departmental schemes and programs at his residence office today. It may be noted that the state level Manas Mandali competition will be held in Raipur from May 27 to 29. In this competition, Manas Mandaliyas who get first position from each district will participate.
In the meeting, Director of the Culture Department Mr. Vivek Acharya informed that approval has been received from the Finance Department for the establishment of Swami Vivekananda Smriti Sansthan at Day Bhavan in Raipur and also for the construction of Human Museum. According to the announcement of the Chief Minister, Mata Kaushalya Mahotsav has been successfully organized in Chandrakhuri recently. National Ramayana Competition is being organized in Raigad district from 1st to 3rd June. In this, foreign teams have also been invited through the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).
In the meeting, the Culture Minister talked about acquisition of land for construction of Film City in Naya Raipur, opening of Garh Kaleva in all the districts, pending payment of artists for last year’s approved cultural programs, gradation amendment of artists and payment of honorarium to artists soon. Gave instructions Minister Shri Bhagat also reviewed the progress of Garh Kaleva. Officials told that Garh Kaleva is being operated in 16 out of 33 districts of the state. The operation of Garh Kaleva will start in the remaining districts also this year.
In the meeting, Secretary of Chhattisgarhi Official Language Commission Dr. Anil Bhatpahari, Deputy Director Mr. JR Bhagat, Mr. Umesh Kumar Mishra, Dr. (Mrs.) Tanuja Baghel, Dr. Pratap Chand Parakh and archaeologists were present.
