Raipur. 12 April 2021. The state government has set new rates for the treatment of Kovid-19 patients in private hospitals. On April 11, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, in a meeting with hospital operators and medical experts, directed the Health Department officials to set new rates of treatment of corona in private hospitals. On his instructions, the Health Department has released the revised rates today. According to the new order issued by the department, N.A.B.H. (National Accreditation Board of Hospitals) A fee of 6200 rupees per day has been prescribed for the treatment of patients with moderate condition in recognized private hospitals. This includes the expense of oxygen and PPE kits with a protective care isolation bed.
For the treatment of patients with critical condition, a fee of Rs 12 thousand has been fixed daily. This includes ICU facility without ventilator. The rate of Rs 17 thousand per day has been fixed for the treatment of very serious patients. It includes ICU facility with ventilator. At the same time, N.A.B.H. A fee of Rs 6200, ten thousand rupees and 14 thousand rupees has been fixed daily for the treatment of moderate, severe and very serious patients for private hospitals not recognized. The cost of treatment of Kovid-19 in private hospitals will have to be borne by the patient himself.
The registration fee, beds, nursing and boarding charges, fees of surgeons, anesthetists, doctors and consultants, anesthesia, blood transfusions, oxygen, OTs are included in the daily fee prescribed by the state government for treatment in private hospitals. Charges, charges for surgical instruments, medicines and drugs, patient’s food, prosthetic devices and implant expenses are included. These include medical procedures, basic radiological imaging and X-ray, sonography, hematology pathology such as radiology and pathology tests. The high-end radiological diagnostics, high-end histopathology (biopsies) and endovascular serology Investigations packages may be provided as separate add-on packages.
The rates set by the government do not include screening of Kovid-19, high-end medicines, high-end diagnostic tests such as CT scans and MRIs and procedures for treating other serious illnesses of the Kovid-19 patient. Hospitals will be able to charge a maximum of two and a half thousand rupees for storage and transport of dead bodies. During the treatment of corona patients, it is mandatory to follow the guidelines issued by the state government’s Health and Family Welfare Department and the ICMR. Action will be taken on these violations as per rules. The state government has issued orders for treatment of corona infected in private hospitals under the Epidemic Diseases Act-1897 and Chhattisgarh Public Act-1949.
