Raipur 22 February 2022. The State Government has constituted a high-powered committee headed by Chief Secretary Mr. Amitabh Jain for the establishment of C-Mart in each district headquarters. The objective is to make products manufactured by local women self-help groups, craftsmen, weavers, artisans, potters, other traditional and cottage industries available for sale under one roof. This committee will work for effective implementation, monitoring and coordination of C-Mart scheme.
Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary and Secretary of Finance Department, Forest and Climate Change Department, Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development Department, Urban Administration and Development Department, Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Village Industries Department, Mineral Resources Department, and Commerce and Industries Department along with Managing Director of Chhattisgarh State Minor Forest Produce (Trading & Development) Co-operative Federation Limited will be the members of this high-powered committee.
The High-Powered Committee will ensure creating a format for preparation of a detailed database of the products being manufactured by women self-help groups, craftsmen, weavers, artisans, potters, other traditional and cottage industries under departmental schemes running in different districts across the state. Arrangement of software and mobile app will also be ensured by the committee for compilation of database across the state. District-wise material information will be compiled through this software. The guidelines for the operation of C-Mart will also be prepared by the Committee
