All officers and employees engaged in election work should work promptly: State Election Commissioner Shri Ajay Singh

In view of the upcoming urban body elections, State Election Commissioner Shri Ajay Singh today inspected the strong room built at Model College, Dharampura, Jagdalpur and took stock of the arrangements for distribution of voting material and counting place. During the inspection, he gave necessary instructions to the officials after taking information regarding the date of commissioning, security arrangements, security arrangements of the strong room and other arrangements.
He also took cognizance of the commissioning process of EVM machines for the urban body elections and the arrangements for transporting the machines. Officials said that after checking the machines, arrangements have been made to safely transport them to the strong room.
State Election Commissioner Mr. Singh said that every possible step should be taken to conduct fair and transparent elections. He directed the officers and employees engaged in the election process to work with full promptness and complete all the necessary preparations on time. During this inspection, Commissioner Mr. Doman Singh, IG Mr. Sundarraj P., Secretary of State Election Commission Mr. Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure, Nodal Officer Police Mr. O P Pal, Collector and District Election Officer Mr. Haris S, Superintendent of Police Mr. Shalabh Sinha and other concerned officers were also present.
