Discussion on the effective implementation of the Act took place

The meeting of the State Advisory Committee constituted under the PCPNDT Act (Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques Act) was held today at the State Nodal Agency Office at DKS Bhavan premises. In the meeting chaired by Dr. Jyoti Jaiswal, Head, Department of Gynecology at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Raipur, discussions were held on the effective implementation of this Act in the state and implementation of its various provisions.
In the meeting of the State Advisory Committee, the report received from the Government of India regarding installation of active tracker in the sonography machine was discussed. Preparation of manual for the next batch of Sonography training of MBBS doctors under PCPNDT Act was also discussed. Information about the follow-up report of the last meeting of the committee held on March 31 was also given in the meeting.
Dr. Prashant Srivastava, Joint Director of PCPNDT Act, Dr. Vivek Patre, Professor of Radio Diagnosis at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Dr. Omkar Prasad Khandwal, Head of Department of Pediatrics, Dr. R.K. Patel, Deputy Director Health Department Dr. Mahendra Singh, Assistant District Public Prosecution Officer Mr. Dhaval Sinha and PCPNDT Consultant Ms. Varsha Rajput were also present in the meeting.
