Chief Minister attended the closing ceremony of Chhattisgarh Police State Level Sports Competition 2023
PTS range became the overall winner of the competition

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel attended the closing ceremony of Chhattisgarh Police State Level Sports Competition organized at PTS Mana Camp today. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel while taking salute of the police march past in the closing ceremony also released the police sports symbol.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the biggest advantage of such events is that such events recharge the enthusiasm and energy of our jawans and these are the two things that characterize every jawan. Mr. Baghel said that the work of the police department is not easy. There are challenges at every step. To deal with these challenges, it is very important to have energy in both body and mind. Sports not only makes us energetic but also relieves us from the stress of work. Inculcates a spirit of healthy competition to achieve one’s goals. Along with successfully discharging their duties, our police personnel have brought laurels to their state and their department by winning many awards in national and international level sports like Commonwealth and Asian Games.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that our government has also launched a campaign to set up national level sports training facilities to promote sports and sportspersons in rural and urban areas. Under this, excellence center for athletics, hockey and archery is being constructed in Bilaspur and tennis stadium and academy in Raipur. Chhattisgarh Sports Authority has been constituted in the state. To encourage talent, the prize money given to medal winners in national competitions has been increased.
The Chief Minister said that events like state level youth festival, Chhattisgarhia Olympics have been started in the state so that sporting talents from rural to urban level get opportunities. These talents can be nurtured. Their confidence can be increased and the sports environment should be maintained continuously in the entire state.
Mr. Baghel said that the government has given the mantra of Vishwas, Vikas, Suraksha to the police force to maintain law and order in the state. Due to the strategy of development, trust and security, there has been an effective stop on the incidents of Naxalite violence in the state.
He said that I am happy that by imbibing this mantra, our jawans have set records of success and have successfully investigated and prevented crimes with new technology and new thinking. For this, various units of the police force have been awarded national awards.
On this occasion, State Home Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu said that Chhattisgarh Olympics have been started in the state under the traditional thinking of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel to preserve and advance our sports genres based in Chhattisgarh tradition. It was successfully organized with the aim of reviving our Chhattisgarhian culture and awakening the sporting spirit of the people of Chhattisgarh, which remained a topic of discussion not only in the country but also abroad.
Mr. Sahu said that by organizing competitions like police sports competition, where healthy competitive spirit, discipline, physical fitness and sense of mutual brotherhood are awakened in the police personnel, they also get the ability to fight in difficult situations.
On the closing occasion of the competition, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel awarded the winners. A total of 952 players participated in this three-day competition, which included 831 men and 121 women. A total of 23 events were included in this competition, in which sports like tug of war and carriage race included in Chhattisgarhi Olympics were also included. PTS Range was adjudged the overall winner in the competition while Constable Ashok Verma of Durg Range was adjudged the Best Athlete.
On the occasion of the closing ceremony of the Chhattisgarh Police State Level Sports Competition, Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Vikas Upadhyay, Director General of Police Mr. Ashok Juneja and all senior police officers of the state were present.
