Raipur, 29 September 2021. Public Health Engineering Minister Guru Rudrakumar has instructed the officers to expeditiously implement the works of Jal Jeevan Mission. It is noteworthy that during the departmental review meeting, Minister Guru Rudrakumar has also directed to ensure the supply of pure drinking water in rural areas and complete the works of Jal Jeevan Mission on time.
In this series, Secretary Public Health Engineering and Secretary in-charge of Janjgir-Champa district, Mr. Dhananjay Devangan, today inspected the works being done under Jal Jeevan Mission in village Basantpur of Baloda block. Shri Devangan said that it is mandatory to obtain a certificate regarding the availability of tap connections in 100% of the households of the village. He said that no house should be left out in the survey. Edit the work according to the instructions given under the Jal Jeevan Mission and the set criteria. Under the scheme, drinking water is to be provided from tap tap in Anganwadi center, school building, health center also. This work should also be completed on time.
On this occasion, Secretary Shri Devangan also inspected the expansion work of Tapannel and Pipeline work in various houses, Anganwadi Center, School building in the village. He took detailed information from the villagers regarding the work being done under the Jal Jeevan Mission. Departmental officials said that construction of tank, pipeline expansion and tube well work is also being done simultaneously in village Basantpur. Trial and maintenance work will be done after one month. After the completion of three months of the trial, the hand over will be done to the Gram Panchayat. Along with this, the work of tap connection in the Anganwadi, School building of the village will also be completed within 2 days. On this occasion, District Panchayat CEO Shri Gajendra Singh Thakur, Janjgir SDM Smt. Kamlesh Nandani Sahu, officers of Public Health Engineering Department along with representatives of Gram Panchayat were present.
