Raipur: Special campaign to add names of new voters: Election Commission released special brief revision program for voter list

 Raipur, 13 October 2020. As per the directives of Election Commission of India, special brief voter revision has started for photo-electoral roll revision. Chief Electoral Officer Smt. Reena Baba Saheb Kangale informed that on 01 January 2021, the voter list is being reviewed. This year the final publication of the voter list is to be done by 15 January 2021. Under this special brief revision program, new voters can have their names added. The detailed voter list will be published on 16 November 2020 as per the program released by the Commission for the revision of the voter list. After this, a claim or objection can be submitted from 16 November to 15 December 2020. Claims and objections received will be resolved by 05 January 2021. After this, the database will be updated and supplementary voter list prepared before 14 January 2020. Finalized on 15 January 2021 after amendment and addition of new names
    Mrs Kangale further informed that such youth who are completing 18 years of age as on January 1, 2021, can apply to get their names added. For this, they can apply online by going to the Election Commission of India website National Voter Service Portal (NVSP). For this, they  can log on to www.nvsp.in. He appealed to the representatives of political parties to motivate more and more eligible voters to add their names to the voter list. He told that on 01 January 2021, the names of youngsters who are completing the age of 18 years can be added to the list. During the revision, along with adding new voters, the amendment and deletion of the names of the deceased voters will be done according to the new residence of the transferred voters.
