Raipur, 12 March 2021. The government is going to start another initiative to connect with the urban people and solve their problems. After the announcement by the Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, the successful Municipal Corporation of Raipur, the Tunhar government, the Municipal Panchayat and Municipal Corporations will also be started in all the districts of the state. Under the guidance of Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahria, the department is busy preparing its implementation. Now the officials of the bodies at the ward level through the Tunhar government, the Tunhar gate, will not only organize camps, try to solve the problems of the citizens quickly and also benefit from the schemes.
By the way, in the last two years, the Urban Administration Department is continuously starting schemes for problems related to common citizens with basic facilities and is ensuring their redressal. Chief Minister and Urban Administration and Development Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahria is making all-out efforts to improve the urban areas. Public health in urban areas, up gradation of poor, work related to sanitation, housing for urban poor, Better steps are being taken in the direction of providing drinking water from door to door. It is a result of the work done in the last two and a half years that Chhattisgarh secured the third position in the Urban Governance Index -2020 ranking in the entire country for the remarkable work done in the schemes and citizens related services under the Urban Administration Department and in the new year as the Prime Minister’s Housing The inclusive model of peacock land and peacock houses under the scheme Urban was awarded by the Government of India. Recently, Raipur and Bilaspur also got the 7th rank nationwide in the list released by the Corporation’s Ease of Living Index. After achieving achievement in ODF plus-plus including cleanliness, the campaign to reach out to the common citizens and solve their problems by the Tunhar Sarkar-Tunhar Dwar program will be beneficial for the citizens. Common citizens Prakash Mahant, Ram Singh, Naresh Kumar Sahu says that many people in the ward are unable to go to the office of the corporation. For those not able to go to office due to busyness or for other reasons, the Tunhar Sarkar-Tunhar Gate will solve their problems in their own ward.
In this episode, there is also a Chief Minister’s ward office which is becoming a boon for civic amenities. This ward office is being operated in 101 wards of 14 municipal corporations across the state. Where more than 15 thousand applications have been disposed of. The Chief Minister’s Ward Office has become a medium where it is possible to diagnose any problem easily. It is a result of the visionary thinking of the government and accountability to the public that an office has been set up to listen to the problems in the wards.
Mukhyamantri Slum Health Scheme and Dai-Didi Clinic Scheme are also being operated for the treatment of those who cannot go to the hospital due to poverty or their busyness. The objective of this scheme is not only to cure someone’s illness, but also to improve their life. Under the Mukhyamantri Slum Swasthya Yojana, a team of doctors is providing services through 60 mobile medical unit ambulances in 14 municipal corporations of the state. Free consultation, treatment, medicines and various types of sugar, blood, urine and BP are also conducted free of cost by organizing health camps in the slum areas. Under the Chief Minister Dai-Didi Clinic Scheme, new facilities are being provided to women. This is the first time in the country that the Dai-Didi clinic scheme in which women are being examined by women doctors around their own homes.
Through the toll-free number NIDAN-1100 issued to the common citizens by the urban administration, the problems of the localities are solved easily. Common citizens are easily removing small problems by calling diagnosis. Ordinary citizens do not even have to go round the office with the system of listening to complaints and redressal on time. On calling the toll-free number 1100, the problems of the complainants are recorded and the concerned officers are informed of the problem and directed for timely action. The result of timely action is that in the year 2020, less complaints have been registered in toll free number 1100 than in 2019. The complaints of more than one lakh people have been resolved by diagnosis. This is a system in which complaints are considered resolved only after the satisfaction of the complainant. The officials are also fined for negligence.
In Raipur Municipal Corporation, Tunhar Sarkar, Tunhar Dwar was organized successfully from 27 February to 2 March 2021. Camp was organized in all 70 wards of Raipur Corporation area in 35 days. More than 40 thousand applications were disposed of through this program. 7420 ration cards, 7007 laborers registration cards, 30 equipments, 27 tricycle wheel chairs, 730 vending cards were distributed to the Tuhan Sarkar Tuhar. 361 street lights installed. Drain-culvert cleaning, Rapid action was taken on 201 cases of waste pickup and 524 cases by the Water Department. The Municipal Investment Department took prompt action in 192 and 2694 cases under NULM. 2237 Aadhaar Cards were created. In the Peacock Land Peacock House Scheme, 3386 cases were diagnosed. In this way, a large number of citizens were benefited by organizing the Tunhar Sarkar-Tunhar Gate under Raipur Municipal Corporation. In view of the success of this program, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has announced to start in all the Nagar Panchayats and Municipal Corporations of the state, which is connected with the interest of common citizens.
