Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, Chhattisgarh government has started working with the resolve of good governance and development. The Government of Chhattisgarh, fulfilling the guarantees of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, is realizing the dream of prosperity of the people of Chhattisgarh state. Chief Minister Shri Sai says that education is the basic mantra of development. For this, as per the new education policy, we will improve the quality of education in Chhattisgarh and prepare children for the future life. The Prime Minister has given the aim of making a developed India with the motto of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas. To achieve this we will create an educated and developed Chhattisgarh.

On the basis of Prime Minister Shri Modi’s vision of developed India, ‘Pradhan Mantri School for Rising India’ has been included in PM Shri Yojana in 211 schools of Chhattisgarh, under which an amount of Rs. 2-2 crore per school is spent to make the schools in big cities and world class. Will be developed as a model school. Of the 211 schools selected in Chhattisgarh under the PM Shri Yojana, 193 schools are included at the elementary level and 18 schools are included at the secondary level. ICT will be provided to the students in these schools through digital class rooms. Students of these schools will be linked with vocational education and internship and entrepreneurship opportunities with local industries. In the second phase of PM Shri Yojana, more and more schools will be included as per the expectations of Chhattisgarh.

In the new education policy 2020, children will be given education in mother tongue and local language till class 8th. For this, the Central Government will start a government channel, which will include languages ​​like Halbi, Gondi, Bhatri, Surgujia along with Chhattisgarhi. In the new education policy, special emphasis has been laid on skill development and technology. Subjects like language, mathematics, science, social science, art, sports, painting, music and dance will be taught to all the students from class 6th to 12th. School children will be given an educational tour for 10 days.

To overcome the shortage of teachers in the schools of the state, 33 thousand teachers will be recruited in the next session. 1086 new posts will be created under Samagra Shiksha. A provision of Rs 265 crore has been made in the budget for the maintenance and infrastructure development of schools. Along with the establishment of District Education and Training Institute in Surajpur and Gariaband, the tribal dominated areas of the state, District Education and Training Institute will be created by upgrading the byte of Kusmi development block of Kondagaon, Sukma and Balrampur districts.

An English medium section will be established in 25 thousand schools of the state from class 1st to 12th. Education will be provided with the help of internet projectors under smart classes in the schools of the state. A centralized education review center will be established for regular and quick monitoring of children’s attendance in schools, studies by teachers, teaching and academic evaluation. Under Saraswati Cycle Scheme, now all the girl students of class 9th will get free cycle. Under the scholarship scheme, the state government has decided to name the scholarship given to the Scheduled Caste category in the name of Saint Shiromani Guru Ghasidas and the scholarship to the Scheduled Tribe category in the name of Veer Gundadhur.

On the lines of Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Nirman Yojana, ‘Nyuta Bhojan’ has been started to provide hot cooked food to children during school hours. It is based on community participation. On his birthday on 21st February, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev reached among the children of Balak Ashram School of his native village Bagiya and had an ‘invitation feast’ with the children. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has started a tradition in which the initiative has been taken to make the Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Yojana more nutritious with community support.

A big decision has been taken by the Chhattisgarh government in the interest of the students appearing for the board exams. As per the decision of the state government, board examinations will be conducted twice in an academic session. The first main examination is being conducted by Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education, Raipur in the month of March and the second main examination will be conducted in June-July. Swami Atmanand Schools will now be run by the Education Department.
The Higher Education Department of Chhattisgarh State has decided to implement ‘National Education Policy 2020’. Under the guarantee of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, students of the state will be given monthly travel allowance to go to college. Three lakh students of the state will be paid Rs 6000 per year directly into their accounts through DBT. Along with regular studies, the government is also going to make arrangements for coaching for various competitive examinations and national eligibility examinations like UPSC, PSC, Assistant Professor Recruitment Examination for the students of the state. Chhattisgarh government has resolved to upgrade the government milkman Shri Rajeshree Mahant Vaishnav Das Post Graduate Sanskrit College, Raipur to a university.

Recruitment will be done on more than 4200 vacant posts in the universities and colleges of the state. New undergraduate faculty will be started in 15 government colleges of the state and new postgraduate faculty will be started in 23 government colleges. Buildings of 12 colleges of the state will be constructed and additional rooms will be constructed in 9 colleges. Along with the construction of hostel buildings in Government College Durgkondal District-Kanker and Bhopalpatnam District Bijapur, toilets will be constructed in 50 Government Colleges. The annual grant amount of the universities of the state has been increased.
