Giving a sapling to Ramcharan Sai of Pando, a special backward tribe of Anandapur village, said – take care and grow up

38 years ago in July 1984 , Shri Rajiv Gandhi had come to Anandpur along with his family.

The matter is of July 1984 , when the former Prime Minister of the country, Shri Rajiv Gandhi suddenly landed in a helicopter in village Katgodi of Sonhat block of the then Madhya Pradesh. Then they had reached the nearby village of Anandpur by car for a short time. During that time Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi were also with him. In the meantime, after stopping the car near Shri Ramcharan Sai and his wife Smt. Kunti Sai of the special backward Pando tribe residing in the village, called them with a gesture. He stopped the car and asked them about their well being and presented a peepal plant to the couple. While presenting the peepal, Shri Rajiv Gandhi had also asked the Ramcharan couple to grow up by planting it and taking good care of it. Ramcharan and his wife did the same. Saved the unique gift of nature given by the then Prime Minister like his own child and today 38Years later, the same Peepal plant has taken the form of a huge tree, about one hundred and fifty feet high.

Ramcharan Sai and his wife Kunti Bai are not alive today , but that Peepal tree is at full maturity. Many generations of birds have taken shelter in the shade of dense trees , so the tree has also become a living proof of the development of the village and the environmental protection identity of the forest dwellers. The grandson of late Ramcharan Sai, Mr. Phoolsai Pando does not know much about this. Just told that his grandmother, Mrs. Kunti Bai often used to say ‘ This peepal tree is a symbol of Rajiv ji’s memory and our ancestors’ and to preserve it like your own child. In this way, the former Prime Minister of the country himself had given the message of keeping the village green through this.

Mr. Mil Sai’s old eyes still have 38 years old memories , garland of Siddha fruit was presented to Mr. Rajiv Gandhi – 64 year old village Patel Mr. Mil Sai of the same village, while refreshing his hazy memories, told that from today About 38 years ago , in the year 1984 , Shri Rajiv Gandhi’s helicopter landed in the school grounds of village Katgodi. For some time he rested in the forest department’s rest house. Meanwhile, Shri Mill Sai, a fire watcher working in the Forest Department, made a garland of Siddha Phal (fruit of a kind of medicinal plant) and wore it to Shri Rajiv Gandhi. On this he asked whether this fruit is also eaten ?Mill Say told that it is not eaten. Tribals wear its garland to protect them from evil forces. Rajiv ji smiled at this. Emphasizing on his mind, Mr. Sai said that he was accompanied by his wife Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and children Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi that day. Shri Rambrij, a middle-aged villager of Anandpur also confirmed that Shri Rajiv Gandhi had presented a Peepal plant to Bhaniya Baba (Ramcharan Sai). He must have been around 9-10 years old at that time.

When the Chief Minister made Mr. Mil Say and Lawango Bai sit by his side –

When the Chief Minister came to know that Mr. Sai of Anandpur village had garlanded Mr. Rajiv Gandhi during the meeting held at Gram Panchayat Rajauli today , he eagerly invited Mr. Mil Sai and his sister Lavango Bai to visit him. Sitting next Discussed with both of them for some time. After this, introducing both the brothers and sisters from the stage said that we had seen Shri Rajiv Gandhi from a distance , but look at his luck , that Mil Sai ji garlanded him and the sister served him food in the rest house. Apart from this, Shri Phool Sai, the grandson of Shri Ramcharan Sai, presented the picture of Shri Rajiv Gandhi to the Chief Minister and said that the Peepal plant given by the former Prime Minister has taken the shape of a huge tree today .On which the Chief Minister talked about saving that tree as a heritage in future also.

Shri Rajiv Gandhi was a strong supporter of Panchayati Raj , Chhattisgarh government making dreams come true

” The soul of India resides in the villages and it can be embodied through Panchayati Raj” with the same motto that the former Prime Minister of the country, Shri Rajiv Gandhi brought this model into existence. The State Government is progressing successfully by fulfilling the objectives of Panchayati Raj. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s meeting program is also part of this positive innovative thinking of former Prime Minister Mr. Gandhi , where he is testing its implementation on the ground.

The Bhupesh government of Chhattisgarh is working only on this thinking of former Prime Minister Shri Rajiv Gandhi, ‘ Prosperous-powerful India will be made only by the development of villages ‘ . Late Rajiv Gandhi had the thinking that unless the schemes and programs that change the standard of living of the village farmers , poor landless laborers , forest dwellers are not implemented honestly and consciously, then India’s development is not possible. From loan waiver of farmers to buying cow dung and developing Gauthans as rural industrial parks, the state government has run many schemes like annual assistance of seven thousand rupees to landless laborers , which will help farmers , laborers ,Today the situation of the villages and villagers of Chhattisgarh is changing rapidly due to the progress of the landless and providing them employment opportunities in the village itself.

The soul of India resides in the villages and it can be embodied through Panchayati Raj” The government is moving forward successfully fulfilling the objectives of Panchayati Raj.The meeting program of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel is also part of this positive innovative thinking of former Prime Minister Mr. Gandhi , where he is testing its implementation on the ground.

Almost a generation is about to pass but the people of Anandpur village have not forgotten the former Prime Minister Late Shri Rajiv Gandhi’s coming to the village with the whole family and his friendly behavior. Shri Rambridge said that like former Prime Minister Shri Rajiv Gandhi, our Chief Minister also cares for the poor farmers of the village. People can be provided employment and money even by buying cow dung , such a thinking can only be of a sensitive Chief Minister. He said that today someone is buying a car by selling cow dung , someone is buying jewelry for his wife. Some are getting the house fixed and some are spending money for the education of the children. Chhattisgarh government’s schemes have simplified the life of every person , family harmony has also increased.
