Mukhyamantri Mitan Yojana, Slum Mukhyamantri Swasthya Yojana, Dai-Didi Clinic and Shree Dhanwantri Generic Medical Stores Yojana are being run in the state with the aim of giving relief to the people from time, money and labour. These schemes are operated by the Urban Administration Department. These schemes have brought relief to people from standing in queues in hospitals and government offices and unnecessary expenses. Chief Minister Mitan Yojana was launched on May 2022 with the aim of providing services related to government documents to the people sitting at home.
Mitan reaching home
This ambitious scheme is being implemented by the state government with the aim of providing citizen-oriented services to the homes of common citizens. So that the common people do not have to visit the municipal corporations, tehsils and other government offices again and again to avail government services. Mitan scheme has been started successfully in 14 municipal corporations of the state, in which 13 civic services have been started in the first phase of the scheme.
Under the Mukhyamantri Mitan Yojana, more than 67 thousand citizens have been provided government documents of their need while sitting at home. So far, under the scheme, more than 72 thousand citizens have obtained document related information by calling on toll free number 14545. The objective of the scheme is to provide around 100 government services to the citizens with the help of an effective home delivery model. That is why this scheme is helpful to the daily wage workers, farmers, women and common citizens to save their valuable time, money and energy. Due to being unable to go to senior citizens, Divyang, physically weaker sections offices, they will be able to benefit immensely from this scheme.
Under the Mukhyamantri Mitan Yojana, unemployed youth of the state are being benefited by deploying them as Mitan agents, who are going to the citizens’ homes to collect necessary documents and deliver certificates, to provide government services at the doorsteps of citizens. . This scheme is providing new employment opportunities for the youth, as well as providing the benefits of government services to the common citizens at their home.
This scheme is an exemplary initiative by the state government. Under this scheme, citizens can get birth certificate, death certificate, marriage certificate, domicile certificate, caste certificate, income certificate, shop and establishment, Aadhaar card registration (for children up to 5 years) from the comfort of their homes. Relevant certificates like Aadhaar mobile number correction etc. will be received. They are also getting important services like correction in marriage and death certificates.
To be benefited from the Mukhyamantri Mitan Yojana, the applicant has to call the toll-free number 14545 to book an appointment for the Mitan service and request the call center representative for the certificate as required.
On calling, Mitan representative tells that to avail the services, you should keep the related documents ready along with Rs.50 service fee. After this the representatives of Mitan reach the applicant’s house on the fixed time and date. Mitan representatives come to take the documents home after making the certificate.
More than 44 lakh patients got free treatment-
Under the Chief Minister’s Slum Health Scheme, free treatment facilities are being provided to poor families living in slums. So far more than 58 thousand camps have been organized in the state and more than 44 lakh patients have been treated. Along with this, free pathology tests have been done for 10.69 lakh patients and medicines have been distributed to about 37.71 lakh patients. Now, through 120 mobile medical units, free consultation, treatment, medicines and pathology lab facilities are available in all the urban bodies in the slums.
The objective of the scheme is to provide free medical check-up, lab tests and free medicines to the urban poor families living in the state’s urban bodies near their homes through mobile medical units. The objective of expanding the scheme has been started from March 31, 2022 in all Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayats. The eligible beneficiaries of the scheme are all the citizens of the civic body area. Priority is given to citizens living in slum areas.
53 lakh people got cheap medicines-
Under Shri Dhanwantri Generic Medical Stores Scheme, 195 shops have been started in all 169 urban bodies of the state. 329 generic medicines, 28 surgical items etc. are available in these shops. The scheme has been launched with the aim of ensuring regular supply of branded generic medicines and surgical items to the general public at affordable rates. It has been made mandatory for government doctors to write generic medicines on prescription in these shops. More than 53 lakh beneficiaries have got the benefit of saving an amount of Rs 96.20 crore on the sale of medicines worth Rs 155.54 crore under the Shree Dhanwantri Generic Medical Stores scheme.
In order to ensure the quality of medicines, a condition has been laid to make available generic medicines of renowned companies of the country in these shops. Available medicines will include cold, cough, fever, blood pressure, insulin etc. As well as medicines for serious diseases, antibiotics, surgical items are also available with a huge discount of minimum 50 percent.
1.47 lakh women got home access health service-
Under the Dai-Didi Clinic scheme, the medical unit with all women staff is visiting slums and treating women. So far, 1.47 lakh women have been provided free medical treatment through 2,036 camps. Under the scheme, lab tests of more than 29 thousand women and free medicines have been distributed to more than 1.44 lakh women by organizing camps so far.
