Chhattisgarh government has started new facilities in urban areas. Many new and innovative schemes are being run in the state for entrepreneurship and employment as well as for saving time and labor of the people. To promote entrepreneurship, self-employment and self-reliance in urban areas, Mahatma Gandhi Urban Industrial Park is being constructed in 14 municipal corporations and 44 municipal councils of the state. Through these parks, entrepreneurs, self-help groups and employment oriented young men and women of urban areas will get better employment opportunities.
In today’s busy life, ‘Mukhyamantri Mitan Yojana’ has been started so that citizens do not have to go to government offices again and again. In this scheme, Mitan reaches home and collects necessary information for government documents. And prepare documents and provide home delivery service. This scheme was implemented in all the 14 municipal corporations of the state. Now it has been expanded to all the municipal councils and 02 nagar panchayats of the district headquarters. Mukhyamantri Mitan Yojana was started with 13 services, which have now been expanded to provide a total of 25 services like Aadhaar, PAN, Ration Card, Revenue Records, Birth-Death, Marriage Registration/Correction, Gumasta License, Shramik Card etc. to the common citizens through Mitan. To benefit from the Mukhyamantri Mitan Yojana, citizens have to call the toll-free number of the scheme 14545. After this the appointment is booked. On the scheduled time and date, Mitan reaches the applicant’s home and collects the required documents, verifies the documents through the tablet and uploads them on the portal. The verified documents are then sent online to the concerned departments who issue the certificate after reviewing the documents related to the applicant. After the certificate is issued, the certificate is delivered to the applicant’s home by Mitan. In order to provide health services to the citizens living in urban areas at their doorstep, Chief Minister Slum Health Scheme is being operated in all the urban bodies. Under this scheme, the common citizens are provided free medical care by the team of MBBS doctor through mobile medical units through medical camps. The facility of consultation, treatment, medicines and daily tests is being provided. Under the scheme, more than 53 lakh patients have been examined free of cost in 70271 camps through 120 mobile medical units. Free medicines have been distributed to more than 45 lakh 93 thousand patients and lab tests have been done for more than 14.32 lakh patients. In the third phase of the scheme, operation of additional 30 mobile medical units has been started.
Taking steps towards strengthening the urban health system, our government has started Shri Dhanwantri Generic Medical Store Scheme to provide high quality generic medicines to the common citizens at concessional rates. Under the scheme, 196 shops are operated in the urban bodies of the state. Along with 329 generic medicines, 28 surgical items etc., products of Chhattisgarh Herbals are also available in these shops. Update: Medicines worth Rs.204.74 crore MRP worth Rs.204.74 crore were recovered from these shops. An amount of Rs. 80.17 crore was sold to 71.47 lakh beneficiaries. The benefit of savings of Rs 124.57 crore has been given.
