Raipur, 23 November 2020. The newly built Tribal Tourism Ethnic Resort in Balachapar village of Jashpur district by Chhattisgarh Tourism Board is attracting tourists these days. It is constructed on 1.65 hectares. The resort has 6 wooden courts, 18 pillage cottages, 10 craft huts, a cafeteria, 1 amphitheater, conference room, 3 tent platforms and other facilities for tourists. Booking of the resort has started on the 1st of this month.
Keeping in view the tribal art and culture, Sarna Ethnic Resort (Tribal Tourism Circuit) has been constructed at Balajhapar in Jashpur development block under Swadesh Darshan Scheme at a cost of Rs. 13 crore 10 lakhs. It has been constructed in four and a half acres of land, where the amazing chhatra of archeology, art-culture and tribal lifestyle of Jashpur district has been included in this four acres of land.
Sarna Ethnic Resort was inaugurated on the occasion of Chhattisgarh State Foundation Day by Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel through video conferencing. The Pardar of the main gate of the resort has Haradipa style stone sculptures of Jashpur. Echo log huts have been built here including Landscape and Open Effy Theater. The stone sculptures in the same style have been made keeping in view the existing stone sculptures at the archaeological site of Jashpur district. Which is installed on the gateway.
Situated 5 kilometers from Jashpur city, this Sarna Ethnic Resort is crowded with four to five hundred tourists every day. With the construction of such a resort in Jashpur district, tribal culture and culture will reach tourists of other states and countries. Giving information, the manager of the resort Mr. Ashish Tirkey said that every cottage of the resort is fully booked every day. Jashpur district is full of natural beauty, there is a crowd of tourists here. Also, it is very interesting for them to live in tribal culture. Since the commencement of booking, people from other states including Raipur, Bilaspur, Bhopal have enjoyed the tourist spots of Jashpur in the resort.
