Deputy Chief Minister and Minister in charge of Kanker district Shri Arun Sao today reviewed the implementation of government schemes and progress of development works by holding a meeting of officials at Kanker district headquarters. Addressing the officials in the meeting, he said that Kanker district is a resource-rich district, whose systematic development is the great responsibility of all of you. Be it a public representative or an administrative officer, everyone should have the same goal that maximum benefits of the government schemes reach the citizens. You people should set a better example by demonstrating your ability and work style with your good behavior, team work and punctuality. Kanker MP Shri Bhojraj Nag, Antagarh MLA Shri Vikram Dev Usendi and Kanker MLA Shri Asharam Netam also attended the review meeting.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Saw said in the review meeting that God has given all public servants a good opportunity to serve the people. To live up to their expectations and aspirations is not only an administrative but also a moral responsibility. Ensure that every person gets pure drinking water under Jal Jeevan Mission. Complete the works of roads and bridges under the Public Works Department with full quality. While reviewing the Revenue Department, Shri Saw said that revenue officers must give time to regularly settle court cases. For this, adopt a positive work style and discharge departmental responsibilities in a timely manner. Make every possible effort to live up to the aspirations of the people so that the farmers who provide food do not have to wander.

In the meeting, Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Saav directed the officials of the Health Department to do regular and intensive monitoring to know the ground reality of health services, facilities, doctors and timely availability of essential medicines. He asked the officials of the Urban Administration Department to take stock of the urban bodies to know the ground situation of the currently being run ‘Swachhata hi seva’ fortnight. The officials should worry about the facilities and problems of the entire city. He asked the officials of all departments to make every possible meaningful effort to make Kanker district, full of natural resources, a leader and to develop facilities for the people here.

In the review meeting, Kanker Collector Mr. Nilesh Mahadev Kshirsagar gave information on agenda-wise schemes and activities run by Panchayat and Rural Development, Public Works, Public Health Engineering, Health, School Education, Tribal Development Department, Social Welfare, Water Resources, Women and Child Development, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Food Department and other departments. Kanker District Panchayat Chairman Mr. Hemant Dhruv, former MP Mr. Mohan Mandavi, Superintendent of Police Mr. Indira Kalyan Elesela, District Panchayat CEO Mr. Sumit Agarwal and DFO Mr. Alok Vajpayee, including district level officers of all departments were present in the review meeting.
