Governor participates in Police Memorial Day Parade,

Chhattisgarh Police personnel have faced every challenge fearlessly even in adverse circumstances, even if they had to sacrifice their lives for this. Police personnel always discharge their responsibilities to maintain law and order and peace in the society. Even when we celebrate festivals and celebrations at our homes, these soldiers perform their duties with dedication while staying away from their families. Governor Shri Vishwabhushan Harichandan expressed this statement today in the parade program organized on the occasion of Police Memorial Day in the courtyard of 4th Corps, Chhasbal Mana Raipur.
On behalf of all the people of the state, the Governor paid a heartfelt tribute to the martyred police personnel by laying a wreath at the martyr’s memorial. The Governor met the families of the martyred police officers and soldiers and expressed his condolences and assured them of always standing with them. Presented him shawl, quince and memento.
On this occasion, Governor Shri Harichandan, in his tribute address, said that Police Memorial Day reminds us of the exemplary bravery of those brave soldiers who sacrificed everything for the service of the motherland. Today is dedicated to those martyrs. The stories of their courage and bravery will always inspire our youth. Shri Harichandan said that the nation will always be grateful to those parents and their families who gave birth to such brave sons and daughters. We must value and cherish in our hearts the extraordinary sacrifice and sacrifice of the brave police forces.
Shri Harichandan said that our soldiers deployed in Naxal affected areas are facing the Naxalites with full courage and patriotism. It is because of them that we live in a peaceful environment. All possible measures are being taken by the Central Government and the State Government to eliminate leftist extremism from Chhattisgarh. People of Naxal affected areas also want peace and development like other people of the state. He told the families of the martyrs that the governments will always act as their guardians by participating in the happiness and sorrow of the martyrs’ families.
Director General of Police Shri Ashok Juneja also gave a tribute address. He said that the police is always ready to prevent crime and criminals. The sacrifice of the brave soldiers will never go in vain.
On this occasion, Principal Secretary of Home Department Mr. Manoj Pinguva, Chairman of Chhattisgarh Human Rights Commission Mr. Girdhari Nayak and senior police officers, policemen and families of martyred soldiers were present.
