Raipur, 14 January 2022. In the current season of procurement of paddy on support price in Chhattisgarh, 69 lakh 05 thousand 182 metric tonnes of paddy has been purchased from 17 lakh 14 thousand 159 farmers till this evening in 2484 paddy procurement centers of the state. So far, 65.76 percent of the estimated target of paddy procurement by the state government has been procured. In lieu of paddy purchase, Rs 13,426 crore 57 lakh has been released to the farmers under the bank linking system. On the initiative of Chief Minister Mr. Baghel, along with the purchase of paddy this year, fast lifting of paddy for custom milling is also being done. Through DO and TO, 34.50 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been lifted.
Food department officials said that DO of 32 lakh 03 thousand metric tonnes of paddy has been issued. The millers have lifted 26 lakh 86 thousand metric paddy from the procurement centers. Similarly, for the transportation of 13 lakh 36 thousand metric tonnes of paddy, T.O. has been issued. Against which 7 lakh 64 thousand metric tonnes of paddy has been lifted from the committees.
Janjgir-Champa district ranks first in the state in terms of procurement of paddy on support price till January 14. There, 6 lakh 09 thousand 537 metric tonnes of paddy has been purchased. On the other hand, Rajnandgaon district ranks second in paddy procurement in the state. There, 6,02,120 metric tonnes of paddy has been procured. Mahasamund district is at the third position in the state in the procurement of paddy today. In Mahasamund district, 4 lakh 77 thousand 313 metric tonnes of paddy has been procured.
According to the information received from the Food Department, till January 14, 1,14,278 MT in Bastar district, 46,922 MT in Bijapur district, 11,335 MT in Dantewada district, 2,13,802 MT in Kanker district, 1 in Kondagaon district on support price till January 14. 05,863 MT, Narayanpur district 16,179 MT, Sukma district 32,400 MT, Bilaspur district 3,66,369 MT, Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district 49,663 MT, Korba district 1,11,261 MT, Mungeli district Paddy was procured 2,87,578 MT, Raigad district 3,86,622 MT, Balod district 3,78,954 MT.
Similarly, 4,64,036 MT in Bemetara district, 2,98,292 MT in Durg district, 3,13,619 MT in Kawardha district, 4,76,893 MT in Balodabazar district, 2,84,210 MT in Dhamtari district, Gariaband district 2,35,007 MT, Raipur district 3,44,069 MT, Balrampur district 1,33,831 MT, Jashpur district 1,03,765 MT, Korea district 91 thousand 702 MT, Surguja district 1,63,915 MT And in Surajpur district, 1,85,647 metric tonnes of paddy has been procured.
