Raipur, 23 December 2021. In the last 23 days of procurement of paddy for Kharif marketing year 2021-22 in Chhattisgarh state from December 1, till 6.30 pm today, 40 lakh 30 thousand 163 metric tonnes of paddy has been purchased from 11 lakh 56 thousand 873 farmers at support price. Has been. Paddy is being procured from farmers through 2484 paddy procurement centers. In lieu of paddy purchase, Rs 7251.72 crore has been released to these farmers by Markfed under bank linking arrangement.
It is worth mentioning that this year on the initiative of Chief Minister Mr. Baghel, along with the procurement of paddy, the off-take of paddy for custom milling is also happening at a rapid pace. So far, DO of 14 lakh 84 thousand 020 metric tonnes has been issued. 10,83,605 metric paddy has been lifted by the millers from the procurement centers.
Even on the 23rd day of paddy procurement, Rajnandgaon district ranks first in the state in terms of procurement of paddy on support price. In Rajnandgaon district, more than 4,03,693 metric tonnes of paddy has been procured. Janjgir-Champa district ranks second in paddy procurement in the state. 3,54,252 metric tonnes of paddy has been procured in the district. Today, Bemetara district is third in the state in the procurement of paddy. In Bemetara district, 3,20,222 metric tonnes of paddy has been procured.
According to the information received from the Food Department, in the current marketing year till December 23, 61,799 MT in Bastar district, 20,275 MT in Bijapur district, 3,594 MT in Dantewada district, 1,39,361 MT in Kanker district, Kondagaon on support price in the current marketing year.
