Raipur: Skill training awakens young people with disabilities

 Raipur, 2 December 2020. The public welfare of the government has created new enthusiasm among the people with disabilities. Under this, PwDs are becoming competent for their livelihood by getting skill training in various professional activities. Many disabled youth who have benefited from this have expressed their happiness by finding themselves capable on the occasion of International Day of Divyang on 3 December.
        Under this scheme, the disabled youths are also being provided free skill training in various occupations according to their interests and abilities. While this scheme of skill development has increased employment opportunities for the general youth, by taking advantage of this, the disabled youth are also becoming capable of their livelihood.

    In this regard, Assistant Director Skill Development and Employment Officer Shri Kedar Patel informed that under the scheme, skill training was imparted to the differently-abled youth in Raipur district through the Mana Kendra of the Social Welfare Department, Janamarthya Kalyan Samiti, Janman Foundation, Leading Reformers Limited etc. being done. From these training centers, disabled youth are being imparted training in professional activities like retail, tailoring, computer operators etc. After getting training from this, 25 to 30 trained disabled youth are now working in institutions like Walmart, Best Price, Vishal Megamart, Wash Cafe and Reliance Smart. Due to this, they have started earning about 10 to 12 thousand rupees per month. Hearing impaired youth, Shri Mahendra Sahu, Shri Vikas Sahu, Shri Mukesh Chandra
