Increase in registration and revenue from last October this month
Large relief to middle class people due to relaxation in purchase and sale of small land blocks, reduction in guide line rates and registration fees by the state government
Raipur, 03 November 2020. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel removing the ban on the purchase and sale of small land blocks in Chhattisgarh from 5 dismills, government guide line rates of property and reduction in registration fee – public welfare decisions, especially for the middle class people of the state Relieved. Due to these decisions, during the Corona period in the state, there has been a significant increase in the registration of revenue documents and revenue receipts compared to the month of October last year. In the month of October 2019, 16 thousand 504 documents were registered, while 18 thousand 754 documents have been registered in the month of October of 2020, which is 13.63 percent more than the October month of the previous year. In this way, in the month of October 2019, revenue of Rs 117 crore 60 lakh was received from the registration of documents, Whereas in the month of October 2020, revenue of Rs 127 crore 85 lakh has been received from registration of documents. This amount is 8.71 percent higher than the month of October of 2019.
Significantly, during the Corona period the registration offices remained closed for long periods due to lockdown or operated with reduced capacity and Corona guide line restrictions, despite which an increase in registration and revenue receipts was recorded. Several decisions were taken by the state government to encourage the real sector, the ban on sale of small land blocks was removed, the guide line rates of property were reduced by 30 percent, the process of land renaming and diversion was simplified. Along with this, the registry fee was reduced from 4 percent to 2 percent and the process of giving all types of permission and no-objection certificates was made easy with the single window system for registration of documents. In view of Corona infection in the state, registration of documents is being done through online e-registration system. In view of the safety of infection with Kovid-19, online appointment slot booking has been made mandatory for registration.
