Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that the shepherd society has a distinct identity in the entire country including Chhattisgarh. Shepherd society is already a prestigious and respected society. He said that the state government is working by formulating a policy for the development of all sections including the poor, laborers and farmers. Mr. Baghel said that Chhattisgarh and the country will progress only when all the families and the society are financially strong. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel was addressing the annual convention of Jheria Gadaria (Pal, Dhangar) Samaj organized at Late Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium in capital Raipur today. On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced formation of Sheep Husbandry and Wool Promotion Board on the demand of the social people. Also announced Rs 50 lakh for the construction of a social building at Mahadev Ghat. In the session, the people of Gadariya Samaj presented self-made Khumri, Congratulated by wearing a blanket. The Chief Minister honored outstanding and talented persons of the society in the programme.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel, while addressing the annual session of Gadaria Samaj, said that at present, due to modern industries, the crisis on the people working traditionally is deepening, Gadaria Samaj is also not untouched by this. He said that the government is committed to the development of all sections including Jheria Gadaria society. Wherever sheep rearing is being done, such families and their children will be given training in weaving through traditional and modern machines and information about new techniques of sheep and goat rearing.
The Chief Minister said that all possible help would be given to the youth of Jheria-Gadariya community for their traditional business and industry. He said that for this they would be provided land and facilities like electricity at a concessional rate. He said that like other societies, the Gadariya Samaj will also be given land at a concessional rate in Nava Raipur.
The Chief Minister said in the session that under the State Government Rural Industrial Park (RIPA), a provision of Rs 600 crore has been made in the budget to make the villagers financially empowered through traditional business as well as small businesses. He told that under the Godhan Nyaya Yojana, a large number of women and villagers are working to make vermi compost by purchasing cow dung. Along with this, Gothans are becoming financially empowered by joining other businesses including goat rearing, poultry. Now the work of making paint from cow dung has also started in Gauthans, apart from this the work of power generation is also being done.
The Chief Minister said that it is the priority of the government to provide employment to rural and urban unemployed youth. For this purpose, new and modern trades are being opened in ITI. He said that the state government has also made a provision in the budget to give unemployment allowance of Rs 2500 to the unemployed youth of the state from this financial year. Now, along with unemployment allowance, youth will also be given training for business and industry in subjects of their interest.
