The service road below the Kumhari flyover going from Durg to Raipur is going to be free from potholes. The agency constructing the flyover bridge blocked the road late on Friday night and tarred the service road. This asphalt work will also be completed within 6 days.
In fact, during the construction of the flyover bridge, the service road below had become quite damaged. Due to huge potholes, accidents were happening every day. Durg Collector had reprimanded the construction agency and given instructions for construction as soon as possible. Earlier, Traffic DSP Satish Thakur had inspected the service road along with the project manager. After which the work was started. Asphalting work is being done at night so that the commuters do not face any problem. The service roads of all flyover bridges will be asphalted.
Traffic DSP Satish Thakur said that the construction agency has been instructed to build service roads below all the flyover bridges. First of all, Durg to Raipur lane is being asphalted under Kumhari flyover bridge.
After this, the lane of Raipur Fort will be asphalted. After the asphalting of both the roads within 6 days, Dabrapara, Power House, Chandra Maurya Supela Service Road will be asphalted. Drivers should choose alternative routes to avoid jams.
Durg Traffic Police has appealed to the drivers traveling between Raipur and Durg to use the prescribed alternative route to avoid the jam. Those people can use Motipur, Utai Phunda Amleshwar route from Sirsa Gate. People going to the airport should leave before time. There may be a delay in reaching them due to traffic jam.
