Raipur 14 July 2021. The ambitious Godhan of the Chhattisgarh government is being operated with the aim of promoting organic farming, creating new employment opportunities at the rural and urban level, promoting cow rearing and cow protection, as well as economically benefiting the livestock farmers. Senior administrative officers of the Government of Rajasthan reached Naya Raipur Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan today for the study of Nyaya Yojana and Gobar-Dhan projects. Secretary, Department of Agriculture and Biotechnology, Dr. M. Geeta, Secretary, Department of Panchayat and Rural Development, Mr. R. Nodal officer and special secretary of Prasanna and Godhan Nyay Yojana, Dr. S. Bharathidasan gave detailed information about the operation of the scheme to the senior officials of Rajasthan.
Among the senior administrative officers who arrived from Rajasthan, Secretary Panchayati Raj Department Mrs. Manju Rajpal, Secretary Animal Husbandry Department Dr. Aarushi Malik, Director Swachh Bharat Mission Rural Mr. Vishwamohan Sharma, Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad Dungarpur Dr. Anjali Rajoria, Zilla Parishad Jodhpur Mr. Inderjit Yadav, Zilla Parishad Jaipur Smt. Pooja Kumari Parth, Zilla Parishad Alwar Mr. Jasmeet Singh Sandhu, Zilla Parishad Jhalawar Srinidhi BT, Zilla Parishad Pali Ms. Shweta Chauhan, Zilla Parishad Ajmer Mr. Gaurav Saini, Zilla Parishad Tok Dr. Soumya Jha, Additional Director Cow Husbandry Department Dr. Lal Singh, Officer-in-Charge of Swachh Bharat Mission Rural Mr. Parag Chaudhary and Nodal Officer of Gobar-Dhan Project, Government of Rajasthan Mr. Vijay Kumar Sharma are involved. Senior officials of Rajasthan will study the operation of Godhan Nyay Yojana in Chhattisgarh till July 16.
Godhan Nyay Yojana has been started in Chhattisgarh from the day of Hareli Utsav on 20th July 2020. Under the scheme, at present, dung is being procured from villagers and dung collectors at the rate of Rs.2 per kg through 3726 Gauthans. Under the scheme, one lakh 92 thousand cow dung collectors and livestock farmers are getting benefitted. Vermi compost is being made by self-help groups from the purchased cow dung. It is being sold by the group in the name of ‘Godhan Vermi Compost’ at the rate of Rs.8 per kg. So far, about Rs 53 crore has been paid under the scheme to cow dung collectors and self-help groups. So far, 277 bio gas plants have been set up in the state under the Gobar-Dhan scheme being operated under the Swachh Bharat Mission Gramin. 1295 families are getting the benefit of bio gas from these plants.
