Raipur: Selection competition for the formation of state party for Civil Services Sports Competition from 14 to 16 September: Sports and Youth Welfare Department issued letter to all department heads for the competition

Raipur, 12 September 2021. The Sports and Youth Welfare Department has issued letters to the heads of departments and department heads of all the government departments of the state, asking government officials and employees to participate in sports competitions. For the All India Civil Services National Sports Competition 2020-21, a state level team will be formed by selecting players from among the government officials and employees. It is noteworthy that a letter has been sent to the State Government in this regard by the Central Civil Services Cultural and Sports Board, New Delhi. The selection competition for the formation of the state party for the All India Civil Services Sports Competition 2020-21 will be organized from September 14 to 16 at various places in Raipur.
It is worth noting that the Civil Services Sports Competition is organized every year for the government officials and employees. The date, hosting of the national competition etc. are also decided by the Central Civil Services Board. On this basis, selection trials of players are organized to send the teams to the states.
According to the letter issued by the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare, a selection competition for volleyball will be held on September 14 at Police Ground, Raipur for the National Civil Services game. Similarly, on September 14, a selection competition for Kabaddi will be organized at Kota Stadium, Raipur. For Badminton, a selection competition has been organized at Sapre School, Raipur on 14th and 15th September. On 15th and 16th September, a selection competition for hockey will be organized at the International Hockey Stadium, Raipur. Selection competition will be organized for Table Tennis on 15th September at Sapre School and Lawn Tennis on 16th September at Union Club Raipur. All these competitions will start from 9 am.
It has been said in the letter that according to the rules of the government, there is a provision of special leave acceptance considering the officers-employees participating in the selection competition on government work. Traveling-daily allowance during this period will be payable from the office of the concerned officer-employee. Such teachers LB, whose merger has been done in the education department, they will also be able to take part in this selection competition. Defense Servants, Para Military Organisations, Police, Autonomous Bodies, Undertakings, Public Sector Bank Employees, Casual-Daily Salaried Employees will not be eligible to participate in the tournament. Officers, employees participating in the selection competition will have to compulsorily bring no objection and identity proof of the office.
It has been said in the letter that it is mandatory for all the participants and associates to be present with the Kovid-19 negative test report. Along with this, it will be mandatory to follow the instructions of the Central Civil Services Cultural and Sports Board.
