By issuing a circular to all the collectors, the people in the state who are left out of taking the second dose of the Kovid vaccine and the preparation dose, have been instructed to get these vaccines soon. Appreciating the work done by the Health Department for the prevention and treatment of infection during the Kovid-19 epidemic in the state, he has said in the circular that vaccination is an effective means to prevent corona infection. In order to develop immunity against covid infection, it is very important to apply the first and second dose as well as the preparation dose.
Shri Prasanna, in a letter to the collectors, has informed that free vaccination doses are being administered to all the beneficiaries of the age group of 18 years and above from July 15, 2022, in the government Kovid-19 vaccination centers. Under the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, this campaign will be run till 30 September 2022. He has directed the collectors to take necessary action to vaccinate more and more people by regularly reviewing the Kovid-19 vaccination.
It is noteworthy that to keep people safe from corona infection, so far (till 20 September) four crore 93 lakh 646 vaccines have been administered in the state. Out of these, two crore 24 lakh 25 thousand 673 vaccines have been administered as first dose, two crore one lakh 86 thousand 988 vaccines as second dose and 66 lakh 87 thousand 985 vaccines as preparation doses.
