The distribution of free textbooks to the school children of Chhattisgarh will start from the day of Shala Pravesh Utsav. In this regard, instructions have been given by the School Education Department to celebrate Shala Pravesh Utsav on June 16 in all the districts. Students taking admission in the Shala Pravesh Utsav will be welcomed by applying Tilak. Along with this, free textbooks will also be distributed to them.
Principal Secretary School Education Dr. Alok Shukla has said that time bound action should be ensured for distribution of free textbooks. In this work, along with the Text Book Corporation, the officers of Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan and Directorate of Public Education should work in coordination. Dr. Shukla has also said that all the formalities related to printing should be completed. Books should be stored safely.
Cluster level for students of class 1st to 8th of government and aided schools by Textbook Corporation, high school and higher secondary level for students of class 9th-10th, block level for students of class 1st to 8th in registered madrasas And for the students of non-aided non-government schools, the determination of vehicles required for transportation of textbooks directly to the corporation’s depot level should be ensured well in advance.
The necessary route chart for the transportation of textbooks should be prepared by the Textbook Corporation, district-wise, package-wise or institution-wise, date-wise and informed to all concerned nodal officers-divisional joint directors, district education officers, block education officers, package in-charges and depot managers, etc. well in advance. , so that the responsible employees are ready to receive the textbooks on time and there is no unnecessary hindrance in the transportation and unloading work.
Adequate building, location determination work should be completed in advance for all cluster coordination and maintenance of orderly unloading of essential textbooks to be distributed by the Principal High School and Higher Secondary under their work area. According to the date and time fixed and communicated by the Textbook Corporation, the set supplied by the Textbook Corporation should be obtained by the cluster coordinator, Principal High School and Higher Secondary only after matching the numbers properly.
The cluster coordinators will compulsorily hand over a set of textbooks to the headmasters and teachers of all the government primary and secondary schools under their cluster on the basis of the pre-sent demand letter, assessment by them on the next working day. School heads will compulsorily ensure distribution of textbooks to all eligible students of their schools on June 16, the day of school admission. The presence of local public representatives, representatives of Panchayat and urban bodies, parents association, school development committee and eminent citizens should also be ensured in the distribution of textbooks.
