Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel attended the state level social and youth-girls introduction conference of Chhattisgarh Meher Samaj organized at Satnam Bhawan, Mahadev Ghat Road today. On this occasion, he said that great saint Shri Ravidas called work as worship. No work is small. People are smaller than their thoughts. In Bhaktimarg, the name of Saint Ravidas is taken with reverence all over the world. Saints told people the way to live with equality. On this occasion, the Chief Minister announced renaming of Chowk in Naya Raipur after Sant Ravidas and giving an amount of Rs. 5 lakh every year to celebrate the birth anniversary of Ravidas.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that provision of reservation has been made in the constitution to provide social justice to the people. Survey work is being done from April 1 to strengthen the economically weaker sections in the state and to provide them the benefits of the schemes. To strengthen the economic condition of the farmers in the state, 20 quintals of paddy per acre will now be procured from the next season. People will get opportunity to do traditional work from rural industrial park. For the common citizens, works are being done by the government in the fields of education, health, employment etc.
The Chief Minister blessed four couples who entered into newly married life by having an ideal marriage in the programme. Along with this, outstanding artists of the society, representatives of the society holding various political positions, 6 people of the society were felicitated with Meher Ratna and talented students. State President of the society Mr. Khilavan Baghel expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for giving representation to the society in the Advisory Council Board and the Commission. He said that according to the dignity of the society, the Chhattisgarh Leather Artisans Development Board was formed, for this the whole society has been blessed.
On this occasion, Parliamentary Secretary and Raipur West MLA Mr. Vikas Upadhyay, President of Chhattisgarh Leather Craftsmen Development Board Mr. Tarun Bijor, other social representatives of the society and a large number of social friends were present.
