Raipur: Rural employment got a boost through Gauthans and RIPA – Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel took the review meeting of the state level Disha Committee.

A meeting of the State Level Direction Committee was held at Vikas Bhawan office on Sunday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel. In the meeting, collective programs and schemes under Disha Committee were reviewed. In the meeting, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that it should be ensured that the beneficiaries of various schemes get the benefits of the schemes and also gave instructions to achieve the targets on time. The Chief Minister said that rural employment has been promoted in the state through Gauthans and RIPA. C-Mart has been established by the state government for the sale of products manufactured by self-help groups. To increase employment, training is also being given to self-help group members.

    In the review meeting of the State Level Direction Committee, review, monitoring, evaluation of the implementation of various programs of the Central Government and increasing coordination between the Center and the State were discussed. In the meeting, Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Agriculture Department, Tribal Development Department, Social Welfare Department, Urban Development Department, Health Department, Revenue Department, Energy Department, Industry Department, Village Industries Department, Women and Child Development Department, Education, Food, Skill The programs and schemes of Development, Chips, Mineral Department, Water Resources Department and Public Works Department were reviewed.

    While giving information about the works under MNREGA in the review meeting, it was told that as of September 2023, 19.92 lakh families have got work under MNREGA while 01 lakh 36 thousand 838 works have been completed. 5 thousand 690 new ponds under MNREGA in the last five years, 2 thousand 915 Amrit Sarovar has been constructed. The state ranks 7th nationally in Aadhaar based payments. All the works approved under Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana-2 have been completed. Chhattisgarh state is first in 100% approval of 5612 km length under Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana-3 and the entire length has been completed. 175 villages have been selected in the first phase of Pradhan Mantri Adarsh ​​Gram Yojana. All the above selected villages have been declared as model villages by completing the desired indicators. Under the Chief Minister Haat Bazaar Clinic Scheme of the Health Department, free tests and medicines have been distributed to more than 1 crore 37 lakh people in the last years. Maternal mortality ratio has registered the second highest decline in the country with 23 points.
