Rural economy getting enriched with Gothans

 Village Kodka (Gram Panchayat Gopalpur) in village Kodka (Gram Panchayat Gopalpur) of district Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai is enriching the rural economy, as well as enabling the economic outlook of the women of self-help groups.

     Gauthan has been constructed from village Kodka 03 years before Mahatma Gandhi NREGA scheme. The women of the Radha-Krishna self-help group working here have so far produced a total of 791.90 quintals of vermicompost and 165 quintals of super compost in vermi stitches. So far he has earned an income of Rs 7 lakh 79 thousand from the sale of fertilizers to the group. Women are also producing earthworms here. In the last six months, by selling 24 quintals of earthworms, women have earned a net profit of Rs 4 lakh 62 thousand.

In the community garden prepared in Gothan, women have earned an income of Rs. one lakh in the last two months. Potato, onion, turmeric, tomato and other vegetables are being produced here. Presently a nursery is being prepared in Gothan land under the guidance of Agriculture College and Research Center Chhuikhadan, for which administrative approval of Rs 4 lakh has been given. With this, 40 thousand saplings will be prepared here.

Mrs. Meena Sahu, president of Radha self-help group, says that along with her domestic work, organic manure production in Gothan, vegetable production in community garden, operation of mini rice mill as well as plant care work in nursery. Is. Women are getting regular income from these economic activities being run in Gothans. He has thanked the Chief Minister for this.
