Funds approved for 22 urban bodies under 14th and 15th Finance Commission
Urban bodies will get Rs 39.3 crore under the 15th Finance Commission and Rs 1.18 crore under the 14th Finance Commission.

The Urban Administration and Development Department has sanctioned a total of Rs 40 crore 47 lakh 13 thousand under the 14th and 15th Finance Commission for 22 urban bodies of the state. These include an amount of Rs 1 crore 17 lakh 53 thousand under the 14th Finance Commission and an amount of Rs 39 crore 29 lakh 60 thousand under the 15th Finance Commission. The department has approved this amount after the approval of Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Administration and Development Minister Shri Arun Sao to accelerate development works in urban bodies.
Under the 15th Finance Commission, the Urban Administration and Development Department has sanctioned Rs 17 lakh 94 thousand for Charama Nagar Panchayat, Rs 36 lakh 86 thousand for Pusaur Nagar Panchayat, Rs 1 crore 23 lakh 97 thousand for Nayabaradwar Nagar Panchayat, Rs 1 crore 23 lakh 97 thousand for Ahiwara Municipality. Rs 2 crore 29 lakh 25 thousand, Rs 48 lakh 25 thousand for Chandrapur Nagar Panchayat, Rs 35 lakh for Baloda Nagar Panchayat, Rs 62 lakh 50 thousand for Sarangarh Municipality, Rs 40 lakh nine thousand for Bagbahra Municipality, Rs 17 crore 24 lakh 42 thousand for Bhilai Municipal Corporation, Rs 4 crore 47 lakh 49 thousand for Ambikapur Municipal Corporation, Rs 50 lakh 53 thousand for Bhakhara Nagar Panchayat, Rs 91 lakh 29 thousand for Balod Municipality, Fingeshwar Nagar Rs 41 lakh 62 thousand for Panchayat, Rs 3 crore 50 lakh 49 thousand for Bhilai-Charoda Municipal Corporation, Rs 1 crore 25 lakh 91 thousand for Kunkuri Nagar Panchayat, Rs 46 lakh 36 thousand for Kharora Nagar Panchayat, Rajnandgaon Nagar Rs 3 crore 57 lakh 66 thousand have been sanctioned for the Corporation, Rs 15 lakh 25 thousand for Pathalgaon Nagar Panchayat, Rs 55 lakh 56 thousand for Bagicha Nagar Panchayat and Rs 29 lakh 16 thousand for Gandai Nagar Panchayat.
Under the 14th Finance Commission, by the Urban Administration and Development Department, Rs 50 lakh 80 thousand for Bastar Nagar Panchayat, Rs 22 lakh 14 thousand for Pendra Nagar Panchayat, Rs 5 lakh 27 thousand for Pusaur Nagar Panchayat, Rs 11 lakh for Kunkuri Nagar Panchayat. Rs 80 lakh and Rs 27 lakh 52 thousand have been sanctioned for Gandai Nagar Panchayat.
