The Chhattisgarh government has sanctioned Rs 3 crore 73 lakh 73 thousand for the construction of stop dam on Jhuri Nala in Ambikapur development block of Surguja district. With the construction of this stop dam, along with water availability for drainage and drinking water, ground water augmentation and water for irrigation in 30 hectare area will be available to the farmers through their own means.
