The Chhattisgarh government has sanctioned Rs 21 crore 95 lakh 86 thousand for carrying out the works of various irrigation projects in the state. With the completion of irrigation schemes, regional farmers will be able to get irrigation facility in 1356 hectare area.
In the sanctioned irrigation schemes, stone excavation and CC work in the main canal of Shankargarh Diversion Scheme of Manendragarh development block of Koriya district. Administrative approval of Rs 2 crore 99 lakh 73 thousand has been granted for the channel construction work. With the completion of the scheme, irrigation facility will be available in 450 hectare area. Administrative approval of Rs 1 crore 63 lakh 98 thousand has been given for the improvement work in the top and canal in the Bihinala diversion scheme of development block-Manendragarh. With the completion of the scheme, irrigation facility will be available in 160 hectare area.
Repair and CC in main canal and minor canal of Hathwar reservoir scheme of development block-Baikunthpur. Rs 2 crore 17 lakh 73 thousand administrative approval has been granted for the channel construction work. With the completion of the scheme, irrigation facility will be available in 103 hectare area. Repair and C.C. Administrative approval of Rs 2 crore 99 lakh 9 thousand has been granted for the channel construction work. With the completion of the scheme, irrigation facility will be available in 179 hectare area.
Administrative approval of Rs 2 crore 93 lakh 43 thousand has been given for the embankment (flood control) work on the left bank of Gobri river in village-Jur under Surajpur development block of Surajpur district. Administrative approval of Rs 1 crore 2 lakh 40 thousand has been granted for the renovation work of Dumariya reservoir of development block-Bhaiyathan. With the completion of the scheme, irrigation facility will be available in 239 hectare area. Administrative approval of Rs 2 crore 95 lakh 55 thousand has been granted for the construction work of aqueduct and waste weir of Chandranagar reservoir scheme of Balrampur-Ramanujganj development block-Shankargarh district. With the completion of the scheme, irrigation facility will be available in 150 hectare area.
Rs 2 crore 97 lakh 10 thousand has been sanctioned for the old improvement work and construction work of new buildings located in Balrampur irrigation colony of development block-Balrampur. Administrative approval of Rs 2 crore 26 lakh 85 thousand has been given for the work of Khizurbahar stop dam scheme of Kunkuri development block of Jashpur district. With the completion of the scheme, irrigation facility will be available in 75 hectare area.
