Raipur, 21 May 2021. On the occasion of the martyrdom day of the former Prime Minister, Shri Bhupesh Baghel, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel transferred an amount of 1500 crore rupees to his accounts online for 22 lakh farmers of the state as input subsidy for the preparations for the upcoming Kharif crop. The said amount has been released to the farmers as the first installment of the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyaya Yojana 2021. Under this scheme, a total of Rs 5597 crore will be given to the farmers of the state in four installments as an input aid. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Dr. Charan Das Mahant and all the members of the cabinet paid tribute to former Prime Minister late Shri Rajiv Gandhi on the occasion by paying floral tributes.
The program started with the state song. On this occasion, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel administered the oath of anti-terrorism day to the people present in the program. On this occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel also transferred Rs. 7.17 crore to 72,000 villagers, cattle rearers of the state for cow dung sold in Gothan between March 15 and May 15 under the Godhan Nyaya Yojana. The Chief Minister launched the super compost fertilizer manufactured in Gothan for sale to the farmers. He also inaugurated the beautification work of the statue site at Rajiv Gandhi Chowk in Raipur on the occasion. MLA from all the districts including MP Mr. PL Punia, District Panchayat President and other people’s representatives also participated in this program virtually.
In her message sent for this program of transfer of funds under Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyaya Yojana and Godhan Nyaya Yojana, MP Smt. Sonia Gandhi led by Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel by the Government of Chhattisgarh to improve the economic condition of common people as well as Annadata farmers. And appreciated the efforts being made to bring prosperity in his life. Describing the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana as a commendable step in the interest of farmers, he congratulated the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel and his cabinet colleagues. Member of Parliament Smt. Sonia Gandhi said in her message that the idea of late Rajiv Gandhi was always to strengthen the farmers, workers, poor and backward economically. On the occasion of his death anniversary, the Government of Chhattisgarh is paying true tribute to the villagers and farmers by helping them.
The Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel said that farming has improved in the state due to the input subsidy being given to the farmers of the state under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana. The government has also extended the scope of this scheme from the Kharif season 2021. This includes paddy as well as other kharif crops. On this occasion, the Chief Minister gave detailed information about the provisions of the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyaya Yojana 2021 and said that under this scheme, the year 2021-22 has been included in the budget for giving a fixed amount of money to the landless laborers every year. On this occasion, the Chief Minister inquired in detail the measures taken by the State Government for the prevention of second wave of Kovid infection in the state, treatment of the victims and help for the needy. The Chief Minister said that in two years, his government has done remarkable work to improve health facilities. On this occasion, he gave Corona vaccination status, Two months free food grains to Antyodaya and poor families of the society, also mentioned the Mahtari Dular scheme implemented by the state government for the free management and scholarship for the education of the destitute children due to the Kovid epidemic. The Chief Minister said that along with the waiver of agricultural loans on the farmers of the state, they were given an additional incentive amount of Rs 11 thousand crore in the last two years.

At the outset of the program, the Minister of Agriculture and Water Resources in his welcome address said that the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana is an important scheme for the farmers of Chhattisgarh state. He informed about the purchase of cow dung vermi compost in the state under the Godan Nyaya Yojana, as well as the creation of super compost manure and livelihood activities conducted by women self-help groups.
